Jeremy's Notes

My friends would say that I am… relational, organized, committed, a finisher, and passionate.

I want to poke my eyes out when… I waste time, when I am overwhelmed, when I work in isolation, and when I don’t Sabbath.

My job is to… lead our staff (paid and volunteer) and students into a closer relationship with Jesus.  I’m doing my job when people involved in Student Ministry are loving God, learning to walk with Him, and leading others to do the same.

I married… a smokin’-hot, rocker chick named Brooke.  Our dog-child Theology finishes up our version of the three amigos.

My wife hates it when… I refer to her as “smokin’ hot”, when I make man noises, and when I snore (she wears construction-grade ear plugs to bed).

My personal mission statement is… He is who He says He is.

I went to college… and graduated from Kansas State University in 2002 with a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education.  I received my Master of Divinity from Emmanuel House Seminary in 2007.

Before joining the staff at First Free I… worked at New Hope Community Church in Manhattan, KS (the promised land) as Youth Pastor.  Prior to New Hope, I was an elementary special education teacher in Junction City.

I relax by… playing basketball, fixing broken stuff, and being with Theology.

Most people don't know that… I used to weigh 260 lbs (ask to see my pictures); that I’m generally referred to as “Ma’am” when ordering at McDonald’s (my voice is high when I try to be nice); and that I cannot say “NO” to puppy-chow (thus the 260).
