MISSION STATEMENT
Children’s Ministry at First Free exists to glorify God by partnering with families to equip children to become and grow as lifetime disciples of Jesus Christ.
CONSTITUENCY
We strive to joyfully serve God, the children and families at First Free, the volunteers and staff, and our local and global community.
VALUES
We value God and His Word as the ultimate authority in our lives.
We value the body of Christ and its role to instruct all people in the truth of Scripture and to engage families in meaningful worship and activities.
We value every child and the family they represent.
We value the family as the place God designed to care for children’s physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs.
We value God’s call to live out our faith in our local and global community.
GOALS
We will honor God by...
Providing excellent, age-appropriate, Biblical teaching for all children so they will gain the knowledge and wisdom to help them follow Christ.
Providing opportunities for children to learn about and engage in heartfelt worship so they will grow in their knowledge and love of God.
Encouraging, teaching and equipping parents
So they will be aware of and equipped for their role to care for their children’s physical, social, emotional and spiritual health.
Providing opportunities for children to share their faith in our community and the world so the kingdom will be expanded and Christ will be glorified.
Providing valuable activities that help build relationships between children,
families and the church so children and their families will have friendships that will encourage and sustain them throughout their lives.
Supporting other ministries of the church by providing quality childcare
So parents can participate in church activities knowing their children are in a safe, caring, Christ-centered environment.
Ministering to our volunteers and staff through training opportunities, prayer support and caring for their individual needs so they will be equipped to serve in Children’s Ministry.
