We are pleased to announce the Andy McLellan will be joining our staff as Worship Pastor. Andy and his wife, Maria, have been serving at Main Street Baptist Church in Grand Saline, Texas. Pray for them as they prepare to come in early June. |
The Choir had a Musicale on Saturday, March 1, along with a Chili Supper and Silent Auction, to raise funds toward their trip to Carnegie Hall in late May/early June. Click here to see some highlights.
Music and worship play a large part in the life of First Free. There are many opportunities for people with different skills and talents to become involved.
Our staff includes our choir director: Trudy Burkholder, organist: Debbie Black, and worship coordinator: Judy Ketchum.
Service Format
There are 2 styles of services offered on Sunday mornings. 9:00 offers a more traditional style with hymns, choir and organ, blended with choruses and other instruments. 10:45 is a more contemporary blend featuring guitars, more drums, and mostly choruses.

Worship Choir
Wednesday, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Directed by Trudy Burkholder.
Participates in worship services September through June. The choir presents special music at Christmas and Easter.
Christmas music is introduced in September and rehearsals then begin at 6:30 p.m. through Christmas.
Worship Teams
Instrumentalists and vocalists combine to lead worship every Sunday. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings.
Ushers
Different teams provide ministry in each service. Ushers greet the people and provide valuable assistance throughout the services.
Soloists and Ensembles
Ensembles and soloists provide music on Sunday mornings and for special events.
Drama
Occasionally provides sketches and readings in support of the Sunday services and other events.
Miscellaneous
Sound and light techs provide important contributions to our worship services.
