Worship and Music Ministries
Music and worship play a large role in the life of First Free. There are many opportunities for people with different skills and gifts to become involved.
Our staff includes:

Service Format
The 9:00 service is led by organ and piano with hymns and worship songs. The 10:45 service is led by acoustic guitar and rhythm section with worship songs and hymns.

Choir
The Choir meets on Wednesdays from 6:45 - 8:15 p.m. in the Choir Room in the basement. The Choir rehearses its Sunday morning music at 8:30 a.m.
The Choir helps to lead in musical worship and choral special music on Sunday mornings. Combined Christmas, Easter, and Celebration Choirs are also used throughout the year. Choir is open to anyone with a heart for community and a love to sing for the Lord.
Kids Choir and Youth Choir
Kids Choir rehearsals are Sundays from 6:00 - 7:15 p.m. under the direction of Karen Schwertfeger.
Youth Choir rehearsals are Sundays from 6:00 - 7:15 p.m. in the basement Choir Room under the direction of Genny Clayton.

Worship Teams
Instrumentalists, vocalists, and technical teams combine to lead musical worship every Sunday in both services. Rehearsals are at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings.
Participation is by personal audition only.
Ushers
Different teams provide ministry in each service. Ushers greet the people and provide valuable assistance throughout the services.
