Sermon Questions
- The message of this chapter is that some rights are worth giving up for the sake of the gospel. Paul shares his own situation as an example. It may seem basic, but spend some listing all the rights you can think of that Jesus gave up in order that we might be saved.
- Read 1 Corinthians 9:19-27. Pastor Curt ended his sermon with these three questions:
---- Are you willing to give up rights for the sake of the gospel?
---- How are you altering your life in order to reach more people with the gospel?
---- How are you “disciplining yourself” for eternal things? What does that look like practically for us?
- Are there any “perishable wreaths” for you that have taken your focus away from eternal things?
- What is one step you could take this week toward the goal of “saving some”?
