Sermon Questions
- Read 1 Corinthians 10:1-22. Paul uses warning and example to call the Corinthians to flee idolatry. Why do you think he used this method of teaching?
- What does authentic faith (or inauthentic faith) look like in this passage.
- An idol is anything we look to to answer questions God has already answered in Christ: Am I loved? Am I desirable? Am I significant? When you think about these questions, what do you look to to answer them? (If you want, you can split up into smaller groups for this question.)
- Paul says because there is one bread, we are one body. As one body how can you encourage one another in the fight against idolatry and being influenced by culture?
- How does the draw of fitting in with culture affect this fight for you?
