Because He First Loved Us

October 30, 2016 Preacher: Josh Black Series: Luke: Certainty of the Truth, Part 1

Passage: Luke 7:36– 8:3

Sermon Questions
- Have you had a similar experience to what Pastor Josh shared in seeing extreme poverty up close? How did you respond?

- Do you ever wish you had a less “boring” testimony? What has had the most impact in helping you to see your spiritual need?

- Does God’s grace still amaze you? If not, what do you think could help you grow in your understanding of God’s love?

- Like the story of the prodigal son and the older brother, there are two characters in this story in Luke 7. Do you find yourself relating more to the woman or to Simon? To the prodigal son or the older brother?

- How well do you respond to God’s love in how you show gratitude to God? What about how you show grace to others?

- Do you need to hear the reassurance that Jesus gives to the woman in verses 48-50? How might this help with growing in how we respond to God’s love?
