Who Can Come?
We accept little “friends” from age 1 to 6 years old. (Kids must be 1 before October 1.)
What Is Our Purpose?
First Friends provides a safe and happy place for kids to spend the day so busy moms and dads can have some time for running errands or taking a much needed rest.
We strive to provide a Christ-centered atmosphere which encourages children to respond to God’s love, and we embrace a developmental approach to our teaching.
Who Are We?
Our teachers are here to love your child sincerely and unconditionally. They are experienced and well-trained in teaching, caring for, and interacting with babies, toddlers, and young children.
What Do We Do?
Our time at First Friends is full of fun and learning. We provide a variety of activities led by qualified teachers including music, gym time, outdoor play, resting time, Bible stories, and crafts—all reinforcing the biblical theme.
Children in older classes will be introduced to school readiness skills including social skills and developmentally appropriate skills like shape recognition, cutting practice, and early reading experiences.
Special event days are scheduled once per month and include things like holiday parties, pajama day, and bike day.
The entire staff works together to provide more than a parent’s day out. We do all we can to make it a meaningful kid’s day in!
What Is Our Schedule?
Next year First Friends meets September 8, 2022, through May 11, 2023. We will be in session a total of thirty Thursdays. Our day starts at 10 am and ends promptly at 3 pm.
What Is the Cost?
Registration Fee: $50.00 per child
Tuition: $85.00 per month per child
What Should You Bring?
Children bring a sack lunch to eat with their friends. Lunches should be peanut/tree nut free, ready-to-eat, and we allow water only, no juice please.
For the youngest classes, baby bottles for milk and formula are permitted.
A scheduled afternoon rest time is also an important part of this busy day. A special “lovey” and a blanket is all you need. A change of clothes is a good idea, too.
More details will be provided in the parent handbook.
