The church office will be closed Monday, September 7, for Labor Day, and Friday, September 11, for a staff retreat.
Wednesday Dinners
Wednesdays, 5:30-6:15 pm
Don’t miss the opportunity to share a meal with others at the church on Wednesdays before the evening programs! Meals are $5 per person or $20 max per family. You can pay online or at the meals, and menus are available online. You don’t need to participate in a Wednesday program to come; all are welcome!
Women's Bible Study
Begins Tuesday, September 8, 9:15-11:30 am
Join us for the fall semester of Women’s Bible Study as we study the book of Joshua using Kathleen Nielson’s study guide. We would love for you to come! Childcare will be available through 5th grade with registration by August 31. Cost for the book is $10. You can register now online or in-person beginning Sunday, August 16. Church Plant Information Lunch

Are you curious about our plans to plant a church or interested in joining the plant? Come hear more about the vision for the church plant and meet one of the planting pastors, Jason McCollum. Lunch will be provided. To help us plan food, please sign up online to let us know you are coming.
Kids Choir
Begins Sunday, September 13, 6-7:15 pm
Kids in first through fifth grades are invited to participate in a choir just for them! They’ll learn about music and singing together as they work on songs to share in worship services and their Christmas and spring programs. The Kids Choir is directed by Karen Schwertfeger and rehearses on Sundays from 6:00-7:15 pm in Shine Room 202. Rehearsals begin September 13. You can sign up online now or at the sign-up table on Sunday mornings beginning August 30.
New Here Lunch
Sunday, September 20, 12:15-1:15 pm
New to First Free? We'd love to meet you. This is a relaxed, informal lunch right after the service, and it’s designed especially for those who are still figuring out their place here. It’s a chance to share a meal, meet some of our pastors and leaders, hear a little about who we are, and ask questions if you’d like. Children are welcome, and the environment will be family-friendly and relaxed. We do ask that you register ahead of time so we can plan enough food.
Halfway There Celebration Picnic
Sunday, September 27, 12:00-2:00 pm
Come celebrate the progress of our Raising the Future campaign with a good old-fashioned church picnic outside the Outpost! We’ll provide pulled pork, hot dogs, and drinks; you can sign up to bring a side or dessert to share or volunteer. To help us prepare, please go to our registrations page to RSVP for the picnic and let us know if you'll be bringing a dish or would like to volunteer.
