General Fund Giving 4/11: $54,399
Sunday, April 18, 6 pm, Worship Center
Plan on attending our upcoming Members Meeting to stay informed on what’s happening at First Free. Agenda items include staff, elder, and financial reports; as well as updates on the Renew 20-21 project and our worship pastor search.
Parking Lot Security
As the weather gets warmer, church parking lots are more often targeted for break-ins. It is very important that you not leave any bags, valuable items, or garage remote openers visible in your car. Our on-duty police officers also recommend not keeping papers or mail with your home address listed in the glove compartment or out in the open.
Recognizing Our Graduates
Do you have a graduate in your family this year? We will be recognizing 2020-2021 high school and college graduates in the bulletin on May 16. If you have a name you’d like included, you may submit details online or call the church office by Monday, May 10.
A Closer Look
Begins May 2, 11:00 am
Take a closer look at First Free! This 3-week intro class covers our mission—what we do; our methods—how we make disciples; and our message—what we believe. If you’re looking for ways to engage in the life of our community, this is a great next step. Our next session begins Sunday, May 2. Please register online to let us know you’ll be coming. Questions? Feel free to contact Connections Pastor Jordan Green.
Sundays, May 9 and June 20
Our next opportunity for child dedication is Sundays, May 9 and June 20. If you would like to have your child dedicated, fill out a child dedication application online by Monday, April 26, and plan to attend the Child Dedication Class on Sunday, May 2, from 3:30-4:45 pm. If you have any questions, please contact Judy Hollander.
College Watch Party
Saturday, April 17, 6-8:30 pm
Join the college group in watching part two of the documentary American Gospel: Christ Crucified. This sequel to American Gospel: Christ Alone explores America’s offense to the gospel. Carson and Suzanne Reimer will be hosting this dinner and discussion time. Text Carson for more info or to RSVP at (316) 217-6757. Please wear a mask and we’ll gather in a way that allows us to social distance.
