- We have endless ways to communicate now (conversation, email, phone, text, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, to name only a few)—how has that changed how or what you communicate? Share about a time you’ve had a message misunderstood because of the medium you used to send it?
- Read 1 Corinthians 1:10-17. What was the problem Paul was addressing in Corinth? What was the cause of the problems?
- How had the “media” of the Corinthian church (a divided church) affected the message of the gospel?
- Preferences aren’t bad (we all have them!), but they become divisive when they are primary. How can we grow in holding our preferences lightly and even putting others ahead of ourselves?
- Do you find Paul’s question “Is Christ divided?” convicting? In a world that often finds community and unity in life stages, personal interests, etc., how can we grow in building our community and unity in Christ?
