Sermon Questions
- Read Luke 6:20-38. Have you ever been excluded or treated differently because of your faith in Jesus, OR compromised faithfulness to God so that you wouldn’t be?
- What are Christians called to give up in this passage? What might that look like for you and your family?
- Can you share an example of a time when the “gains” of following Christ gave you the motivation you needed to remain faithful in doing the hard things we are called to do as followers of Christ.
- Is there someone in your life you don’t love, but know you should? How have you justified your feelings toward that person?
- How would you know if you are loving your enemies well? What is one thing you can do this week to show love to someone that doesn’t deserve it?
- How often do you pray for personal enemies or enemies of Christians in general? Spend some time in prayer as a group.
